It’s that time of the year again! The season changes, and you seem to be reaching out to pieces that are stacked the lowest, or maybe you want to remove the clothes you have stored in your basement. Buuuut, whatever it is, and wherever you have stored the clothes, now is a perfect time for a closet clean up! The uber cool EthnicThread planner has already sketched in a Closet Clean up on 11th June, which means you have an entire weekend to plan and organise your closet.
So here we come, with ideas, tips, and hacks all guaranteed to make your closet clean up a breeze! To start off; we always refer to the closet clean up infographic. Just simple steps guaranteed to make your dilemma of what to keep, what to throw, what to donate, what to sell very easy.
So start off by removing everything from your closet. This is a part of the Japanese Konmari method of cleaning and it’s very important that you do this. When you remove every single thing out, you are freeing up space and making your closet have a clean vibe. Once that’s done, clean your closet with a wet cloth. Might as well have a clean workspace.
Next, throw ALL those clothes on your bed. Why bed? Because then you just won’t be able to sleep without having to clean the mess. So put everything on your bed, and then hold each item. When you hold each item, you can go through the above infographic? Put back them items you love, make a large bag of the items you wish to donate, and finally make a large pile of the things you wish to throw. The rest of the clothes will be divided into two categories: keep and sell.

That’s it. It’s a simple task, that will take some time no doubt. But a clean closet will mean a better morning everyday and some more space to buy new clothes!
